“Tell me the nameless war” questions the way National Education teaches the War of Algeria. The guideline of this documentary is made of lessons and debates in a sixth form class. It is punctuated with testimonies of people – basic service conscripts, “blackfoots”, harki – who lived during the war and who chose to share their experience. The juxtaposition of these testimonies shows that there are as many wars as protagonists, and gives the occasion to approach the stabbing question of the links between memory and history.
